Want to provide quality care in a collaborative, integrative healthcare setting? We’re looking for enthusiastic and experienced psychiatrists to join a team dedicated to the protection and promotion of each patient’s recovery. JeffCare, a program of Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority, is a Federally Qualified Health Center with two sites in East Jefferson and West Jefferson. These positions require no call or weekend work, offer a generous benefits package, and are located in the greater New Orleans metropolitan area in Metairie and Marrero, LA. Both part-time and full-time positions available.
Adult Psychiatrist – Metairie, LA

Responsibilities
- Provides medical leadership for treatment team
- Performs evaluations, makes diagnoses and works with individuals with mental illness and/or substance use disorder to determine treatment
- Provides counseling and education to individuals served
- Completes concurrent documentation in electronic health record
- Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team that includes primary care providers
Qualifications & Skills
- Licensure as a Medical Doctor through the Louisiana Board of State Medical Examiners
- Highly skilled in the implementation and delivery of behavioral health services
- Experience and/or familiarity with medication-assisted treatment (Suboxone) and has or is willing to obtain a DATA Waiver to prescribe Suboxone
- Valid DEA assigned number
- High ethical standards and personal integrity
- Focus on improving health outcomes by using best practices, ingenuity, and strong analytical skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to communicate and interact effectively at different levels with different audiences
- Commitment to helping people achieve their wellness goals
- Ability to provide care in a culturally competent way and consistently treat all with dignity and respect
Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist – Marrero, LA
