Employee Recognition

Tri Tin Ngoc Phan, IT Applications Program/Analyst 3DCL - Employee of the Quarter

Tri Phan’s contributions to data-based decision-making, the conversion to an Electronic Health Record, and our extensive reporting for the Primary Care Access Stabilization Grant (PCASG) are significant. Examples follow:

Data-based Decision-making: Tri has continued to write and run custom queries as well as to produce additional “canned” reports to supply the data used for utilization management, improved billing, and compliance. He has added, subtracted and reconfigured data elements and “tweaked” reports, until his internal customers’ needs are met. Further, he has added new programs and services to the current client information system to enhance tracking and reporting.

Electronic Health Record: Tri is a member of the Implementation Team. He has worked on an ongoing basis with the Project Manager to correct as many data errors as possible prior to conversion. On his own, he monitors data on a daily basis and makes corrections without being asked. Tri clearly understands that the Electronic Health Record will significantly change his job. He has embraced the transformation of his role at JPHSA and always wants to do what is best for the agency and the individuals it serves.

Primary Care Access Stabilization Grant: Tri wrote a series of custom queries and continues to rewrite on a monthly basis to meet changing PCASG requirements. With the first set of queries, he worked from 3 p.m. on a Friday through 10 a.m. the following Monday to get data ready to report. Every month he extracts massive amounts of data and has worked collaboratively with another member of the Quality Management & Technology division to meet all requirements completely, accurately, and on time.

Tri is a highly intelligent, self-motivated employee who gives his best every day. Demands on him are high, and he routinely works long hours, while maintaining a high level of productivity and a very positive attitude.

Other employees acknowledged for outstanding service this quarter are:

Benita Baucom, MH Program Director B, CFS/Prevention

Cynthia Lewis, RN Supervisor 1, Adult Services
