Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority

Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority (JPHSA) provides the people of Jefferson Parish with mental health, addictive disorders, and developmental disabilities services and supports.

A local, volunteer Board of Directors ensures the Agency's mission and sets priorities. The Board consists of twelve individuals. Each board member has experience in one of the service areas and represents individuals served, families, advocacy groups, or serves as a professional in one of these areas. Nine of the members are appointed by the Parish Council and three by the Governor's office.

The Authority Board operates under a governance policy and institutes an ends statement and means limitations policies for the staff to follow. The Board of Directors meets the first Monday of every month at 6 pm, 3300 W. Esplanade Avenue, Suite 213. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 6, 2012, at 6 pm. Nancy Pearson, Chairperson Substance Abuse, General Ms Pearson, a resident of River Ridge, is retired from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office and has been a board member since May 2006.		Louise Landry, Vice Chairperson Mental Health, Professional Ms Landry, a resident of Metairie, is employed at Ochsner Medical Center and has been a board member since March 2008.

Kevin Centanni Mental Health, Representing Parents, Consumers or Advocacy Groups Mr. Centanni, a resident of Kenner, serves as a Justice of the Peace and has been a board member since September 2006.		Albert F. Majeau Jr. Mental Health, General Mr. Majeau Jr., a resident of Harahan, is employed as a Louisiana State Trooper and has been a board member since November 2008.

John Neal Addictive Disorders, Representing Parents, Consumers or Advocacy Groups Mr. Neal, a resident of Harvey, is a Louisiana State Trooper and has been board member for over six years.		Robert Bradley Developmental Disabilities, Representing Parents, Consumers or Advocacy Groups Mr. Bradley, a resident of Metairie, is retired from the Federal Communications Commissions's New Orleans Field Office and has been a board member since October 2011.

Vacant Developmental Disabilities, Professional		Olga M. Bogran Mental Health, General Ms Bogran, a resident of Harvey, is employed as an Assistant Attorney General with the Louisiana Department of Justice and has been a board member since April 2009.

Philip A. Cerminaro Developmental Disabilities, General Mr. Cerminaro, a resident of River Ridge, owns Industrial Products Limited and has been a board member since October 2009.		Terry P. Hardouin Developmental Disabilities, General Mr. Hardouin is a resident of Kenner, and owns the AmeriSpec Home Inspection Service Franchise in New Orleans and Baton Rouge and has been a board member since June 2009.
